Quoted notice: According to a notice dated December 22, 2025, the Thai Postal Service has announced that due to amendments to Thai customs regulations, the requirements for electronic customs data for mail destined for Thailand will be strengthened from January 1, 2026. All mail arriving in Thailand, regardless of transport method, with contents valued at 1 baht or more, will be subject to import duties from January 1, 2026. However, international mail with contents valued at 1 baht or more but less than 1,500 baht, which was previously duty-free, will be delivered to the recipient's address with applicable duties, other taxes, and postal handling fees collected. Recipients can collect their packages by scanning a QR code or paying cash to the postman. Therefore , international mail destined for Thailand that does not submit electronic customs data or that contains insufficient or inaccurate data is at increased risk of delay or return.
