Bacchus（バッカス）は長野を拠点とする日本のブランドです。飛鳥工場という大型のギター工場を保有するディバイザー傘下のブランドで、工場が自ら手掛けるからこその質の高さは多くのミュージシャンに評価されています。
Bacchusには価格帯ごとに幾つかのシリーズがありますが、ユニバースシリーズは特に高いコストパフォーマンスを追及しています。
本モデルはローステッドメイプルをネックに使用したジャズベースモデルです。
ローステッドメイプルは元はフィンランドの技術で、楽器への採用という意味では関西のブランドであるSagoがパイオニアです。
高温で処理することで水分を揮発させ、剛性を高めた材です。この処理の中で狂いが出た木材は当然使用されません。
ふたつの意味で、クオリティの高いものに仕上がるわけです。
鳴り方がこなれており、いい意味で新品感が薄い弾き心地。
レンジが広くウォームなニュアンスを持ち合わせているため、サウンドはジューシーで幸福感のあるものに仕上がります。
