フィンランドのデザイナー、カイヤ・アーリッカが1984年にデザインしたマリア像「マドンナ」。我が家での子宝祈願の役割を果たしてくれて為、必要としている方へお譲りします。その為1 円スタートとさせていただきますら。
木製の丸みを帯びた造形が特徴
高さ約33cm 最大幅10cm（リング部）

「Aarikka」の創始者であるKaija Aarikka(カイヤ・アーリッカ)により、1984年にデザインされたマリア像。高さ33cmという大きさに、木目を生かした丸っこい造形が、とてもユニークです。
フィンランドを代表する「木」を使ったアクセサリー・ブランドAarikkaは1954年にスタートしました。発端は、カイヤがデザインしたドレスに付けるボタンを探したけれど、気に入ったものがなく、自作したことからだと言われています。このエピソードは、そのままこの作品にも受け継がれています。
見てみると、この「マリア像」は宗教というよりも、身近な「人間の暖かさ」を表しているかのよう。カイヤは自分自身のマリア像が欲しかったに違いありません。
全体にはとても良いヴィンテージです。裏面にAarikkaの焼印と解読出来ませんが文字が書かれている様に見られます。
像の高さは約11インチ、台座底部分の直径は約3インチです。クリスマスの飾りとして、また一年を通して飾っていただけます。子供像の体長は約3インチです。
この作品は無垢の松材を使用しているようで、約515gと重量あるしっかり直立する像です。
