Sire（サイアー）はMarcus Millerが監修したベースをリリースしたブランドとして一躍有名になりました。彼らが製造するギター・ベースのクオリティは非常に高く、マーカスファン以外からも高く支持されています。
こちらは新製品のGB5です。
見ての通りアコースティックのスタイルを採り入れたモデルですね。
ボディバックはMahogany、トップは単板のSpruceで構成されています。
ネックは3PのMahogany、指板はRosewoodです。
ピックアップはアンダーサドルのピエゾタイプを搭載。
オリジナルのVividx-Bプリアンプは3バンドのEQと位相切替機能を持ちます。
まるでアップライトのようなウォームで美しい倍音に包まれたサウンドが特徴的。
Sireならではの演奏性の高さもとても魅力的な部分ですね。
