12cmポットの久留米ツツジ【口紅（クチベニ）】です。ポットを含まない樹高と幅が約20cm前後です。
久留米ツツジは、株全体を覆って花が咲く小輪多花性のツツジです。
開花の時期は全体が花色に染まります。
口紅は4月下旬から5月上旬に、白地に淡い爪紅の花を咲かせます。
白色と淡紅色の比率は変わり易いです。
葉は常緑です。枝葉が緻密に茂るので、刈り込みによる仕立物にも向きます。
強健で育て易いです。
日向から半日陰を好みます。
花芽は7月から8月に新梢に形成されるので、花後直ぐに剪定や刈込をしてください。
2月から3月頃と花後に施肥をしてください。秋にも施肥すると尚良いです。
主な植栽用途は、生垣、鉢植え、庭木、花壇、花材、寄せ植え、グラウンドカバー等、多様です。
