| 商品説明 | エルテ（Erte 1892-1990）本名：ロマン ド ディルトフ（Romain de Tirtoff）ロシア・ペテルフブルグ生まれ。フランスで活躍した画家/デザイナー/彫刻家。「エルテ」はペンネームで、本名の「Romain de Tirtoff」の頭文字R.Tをフランス語読みにしたもの。妖艶さの漂う様式的な作風が特徴で、イラストレーションや衣装デザインなどの幅広い分野に輝かしい功績を残し、アール・デコの巨匠と呼ばれています。エルテは8歳で1900年のパリ万博を見学して以来、フランス文化に惹かれます。1912年にエルテ20歳の時にデザインの勉強のためにパリに移り、1915年からは Vogue と並ぶ世界的ファッション誌Harper s Bazar誌の表紙を22年間専属で描くことになります。1970年に芸術文化功労勲爵士の称号、1976年に芸術文化功労の称号をフランス政府より授与。1985年、フランスのレジョン・ド・ヌールを受賞。1989年にはエルテはロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アートの名誉博士号を与えられます。1990年、エルテは4月21日、97歳にて逝去。近代ファッションの父=ポール・ポワレに見出され、およそ一世紀におよぶ生涯を通じて魅惑的な夢の世界を創作し続けたエルテ。エルテはこう語っています。「私は、非現実的なものを描く。日常生活は充分すぎるほど現実的だから。芸術は現実からの脱出にある。」 西欧的エレガンスと東洋的エキゾチシズムを絶妙に融合させて描かれた洗練された女性美は今でも世界中のファンを魅了し続けています。 |
