商品解説■アメリカのオシュコシュ・コーポレーションによって開発された、4×4輪駆動の装輪式多目的軍用車両であるL-ATV (Light Combat Tactical All-Terrain Vehicle) は、
2015年にJLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicl=統合軽戦術車両) 計画の車種として、2015年8月に採用されました。
L-ATVは2019年から2040年にかけてアメリカ陸軍に約49000両が、アメリカ海兵隊には2020年から2022年にかけて5500両が調達される計画になっています。
M1278は汎用型であるJLTV-GPをベースとし、M153などのRWS(Remote Weapon SystemまたはRemote Weapon Station=遠隔操作式銃塔)を搭載した発展型です。
