商品解説■バイクにまたがるアメリカ兵が躍動する
【実車について】
第二次世界大戦では軍の機動力が様々な形で追及されました。
兵士の移動にはモーターサイクルも活用され、アメリカもモーターサイクルを配備。
アメリカの軍用モーターサイクルは750ccのV型ツインエンジンを搭載。
ミリタリー仕様として悪路走破性を高めるため前後のホイールを民間型の16インチから18インチへと変更。
レッグシールドやスキッドプレートが装備されるほかリアのサドルバッグもセット。
またフロントのスプリンガーフォーク右側にはトンプソン短機関銃を収納するライフルケースも装備されていました。
1941年から45年にかけて生産され、主に憲兵隊などで活躍したのです。
【モデルについて】
モデルは第二次大戦でアメリカ軍が運用した軍用バイクとそれにまたがるアメリカ軍兵を再現したプラスチックモデル組み立てキットです。
スケールは1/35。バイク2台と兵士2体がセットされています。モーターサイクルはミリタリー仕様の装備を詳細に再現。ライフルケースやサドルバッグなど、特徴あるスタイルが見逃せません。
もちろんフレーム、V型エンジン、ガソリンタンクなど、メカニズムも詳細にモデル化。スポークホイールはエッチングパーツを用意して繊細な仕上がりです。
2体のフィギュアはまたがったポーズとハンドルを持ってバイクを押すポーズの2体。ジャケットなどのユニフォームのディテールもしっかりと表現しています。
ビネット制作に楽しみが広がるセットです。
