【実車ガイド】
2009年に登場したE259系は253系の後継として同年10月に運転を開始した特急電車です
2023年3月にリニューアルが発表され、同年5月には先頭車の塗装デザインが一新された1本目が登場しました
塗装変更は先頭車のみに実施され、そのほかの中間車両のデザインは従来通りのままとなっています。
2024年春頃までに22編成全車がこの新しい塗装に変更される予定です
現在は12両編成の運転が主体となり、分割をしない列車は成田空港～新宿間をメイン運行され、分割する列車は東京から大船・新宿方面へそれぞれ6両となり運行されています。
