日本では当盤オリジナルの形で発売された形跡がなく、東芝EMIのベスト盤にピックアップされる形で紹介されていた模様です。
『さすらい』は日本の旧EMI盤では疑似ステレオでしたが、実際にはステレオ録音です。
聴きものはウィーン少年合唱団員の独唱で歌われる『アヴェ・マリア』で、少年とは思えない深い表現が見事です。
指揮者の当時22歳のウーヴェ・ムントUwe Mund(1941～)が大変充実していたことを覗わせます

LPから復刻した際に乗ったと思われる針音ノイズと歪みが数ヶ所あります。
1曲目には2分32秒の箇所にマスタリングの不手際に起因するとみられる音の乱れがあります
