針生鎮郎 はりう・しずお 1931-1998
東京生まれ。東京藝術大学油画科に学ぶ。大学卒業後は独立美術協会を中心に発表を続けた。卒業の翌年の1958年、第26回独立展で独立賞を、その翌年は独立優秀賞を受賞。独立美術協会は1981年に退会したが、大学で同期だった作家、稲葉治夫、松本英一郎、豊島弘尚らとともに1960年に作ったグループ「新表現主義」での発表活動は、その後も続いた。1990年には個展『針生鎮郎の世界』展（池田20世紀美術館）が開催されている。人間像をモチーフとする作品を主に制作した。
