Clean Banditは、しっかりしたグルーヴを持ちつつとても端正で繊細な音楽を作っています。そしてストリングスの透明感は本当に美しい。シンプルでキャッチーな基本の音楽に見事なアレンジの手を加えて個性と統一感のある楽曲に仕上げています。なんと言っても4「Rather Be」はやはり良くできていますが、とにかくキャッチーな曲が多い。4に似た味わいの2「Extraordinary」、前半のフワフワ感が心地よい3「Dust Clears」、アレンジの妙味で変化に富む5「A&E」、そして10「Heart On Fire」。タイトル・トラックの11「New Eyes」、不調和感のある歌部分をラップで“壊す”感覚が良いです。
