HPシャッドテール2.5inはただ巻きとシェイキングの両立を大前提にさまざまなリグに対応できる小型シャッドテール系ワームとして開発をスタート。このサイズのシャッドテールワームに不足しがちなパワフルな振動と水押しをスローからファーストまで、リトリーブスピードを問わず生み出せる。ノーシンカー（オフセットフック#2～#3）やジグヘッドリグにおけるただ巻きではヘッドまで揺らす力強いウォブリングアクションを発生。ダウンショットやネコリグでのシェイキングアクションではロッドワークに合わせてテールが力強く震えて水を押す。さらにキャロライナリグやスモラバのトレーラーにも対応。04シンクロの1.2gという最軽量クラスのウエイトでも、フリーフォールで確実にテールを振る。特筆すべきは2.2gのネイルシンカーを使ったネコリグだ。0.3g程度のシンカーを入れてスイミングもいいが、2.2gのシンカーで素早く落とす、リアクションネコリグというシークレット的な使い方もできる。HighPerformanceとHigh Pitch。この頭文字をとってHPシャッドテールと名づけたのだがその名に恥じないハイパフォーマンスな性能を発揮。年々IQのレベルを上げていくクレバーなバスも、確実に食わせられる・・・by並木敏成
