| ■商品説明 | ジャン ミシェル バスキア アメリカ【1960-1988】わずか27年の生涯にして一つの大きな楔をニューヨークの路上から美術界に打ち込んだバスキア。半生の映画化やアパレルメーカーでのグラフィティ起用など、その伝説は今なお生き、広がりを続けています。バスキアのグラフィティは、時として音楽やニューヨークの喧騒などに譬えて評されるように、その作品に通底するリズム(鼓動)は力強く、カオス(混沌)にも似た情熱に満ち溢れています。それは正に混沌渦巻くニューヨークで、自らの怒りを狂気を、絶望と希望を描き続けたバスキアの命の鼓動なのかもしれません。バスキアが描き出したモナリザ。この作品にも見られるように表現主義やピカソなどのモダニズムアートの延長としてバスキアをとらえようとする動きが顕著であり、（一方で、 彼のアートを、モダニズムへの反動とする見方もある。）バスキアをレイトモダニストと見るかポストモダニストと見るかという歴史的な位置付けはともかく、彼の 色彩感覚や 構成感覚には 時代や流行を超えた何かを感じさせる物があります。チェルシーではチェイム＆リードギャラリーでバスキアの文字や言葉を中心としたドローイング展が開かれました。※こちらの作品は四つ折の折れ皺が入っております。 |
