内容：はしがきより
先日、帰宅して、ふと机上の到着郵便物を見ていたら、教育新聞がその中に
あった。なぜ送って来たのだろうか。
又、購読勧誘かと思って開くと、手紙が入っていて、「旧刊発掘」の中に、
十五年も前の「国鉄を叱る」が取り上げられていて、執筆者の命によって
送るとあり、中に私を「徹底した鉄道キチガイ」とある。
確にそうかも知れない。
実は、その後も「旅の入れ知恵」とか「新幹線旅行メモ」とか公にしたし、
交通新聞にときどき、掲示放送のサービス面、運賃料金の制度面について
、あきもせず、投書し続けている。私の国鉄病は周期的に重態に陥るが、
近ごろ、又重態らしい。
その病中の執筆がこれであるが、一々規則の箇条を注記して、原拠とした。
部内の某氏に原稿を見せたら、国鉄の規則をひもとくよりも分かりやすい
との評。安心して世に送る。
