－ウラジミール・ソルタンはベラルーシのミンスク生まれ (1987- )。4歳の時に父親から初めての音楽のレッスンを受けました。2005～10年 ベラルーシ国立音楽アカデミーで学び、在学中 カール・ライスター、ハンス・ファイファーなど世界トップクラスのクラリネット奏者によるマスタークラスに参加しました。ベラルーシのオケで首席奏者をつとめるかたわら、数々の国際コンクールで第1位を含む優秀な成績をおさめ、ドイツ学術交流会から奨学金を授与され、フランクフルト大学に入学、さらなる研鑽を積みました。これまでにサイモン・ラトル、ピエール・ブーレーズ、ハインツ・ホリガーなどの著名な指揮者の下で演奏しており、MDGレーベルではヒンデミットとレーガーのクラリネット五重奏曲も録音しています。
