スペイン語で“Mercado＝市場”を意味するメキシコ生まれのメルカドバッグ。
元々はリサイクルされたビニール紐を編んで現代向けにアレンジされた工芸品で、軽量で耐久性があるため現地ではお買い物バッグとして日常使いされています。
天然素材とはまた違った質感やカラー、編み模様が特徴的です。
