ピーターサイトとは地殻変動やマグマ活動等によってホークスアイが崩れ溶け出した所に水晶の石英質が流れ込み再結晶化されたものを言います。産地はナミビアのみで、超レアな天然石です。
ピーターサイトは1960年代にアフリカで発見された比較的新しい好物ではありますが、ラリマーやルチルと並んで現在急速に人気が出てお値段もかなり高騰化しております。
ピーターサイトはタイガーアイやイーグルアイと同じくクシドロライトを主成分にした宝石でございまして、テンペストストーンという別名がございます。
