函に経年相応のヤケはありますが、おおむね良好な状態です。『南路志』は、江戸時代に土佐国の豪商・武藤致和とその子・平道が編纂
した、土佐一国の地誌と記録を網羅した全120巻の大著です。高知県立図書
館が発行しており、土佐藩や地域史の研究において欠かせない貴重な資料
です。その内容は以下の4部に大別されます
1. **闔国（巻1～45）**: 土佐国の地理や歴史、村々の神社仏閣、名所旧跡、
産物、詩歌、人物、怪異談などを詳細に記録。
2. **年譜（巻46～82）**: 天正13年（1585年）から明和4年（1767年）まで
の土佐藩や藩主の出来事を記録。
3. **附録（巻72～120）**: 年譜や闔国に収録されなかった記録や補足資料
を収録。
4. **拾遺（巻83～120）**: 未収録の古文書、寺院録、歴史的資料を収録。
原本は戦災で失われましたが、高知県立図書館による刊行で一部が活字化
されています。土佐の文化や歴史を知るための重要な史料であり、地域史
研究における礎となっています。
