ZVEZDA ズベズダの1/35スケール SOVIET MOTORCYCLE M-72 WITH 82-MM MORTARです。未組立
ソ連軍は、帝政ロシア時代から砲火力を重視しており、小口径から大口径の火砲を多く装備していました
迫撃砲は、歩兵部隊用の直協火砲として50mm、82mm、107mm、120mm、160mmという5種類の口径のタイプが生産、使用されました
82mm迫撃砲は、フランスの「ストークスブラン81mm迫撃砲」をベースにして開発された火砲で、口径を1mm拡大したものです
この1mmの拡大は、同砲の砲弾を捕獲された場合に、敵の81mm迫撃砲で使用されないことを目的にしており、逆にソ連軍が81mm砲弾を捕獲した場合には、この82mm迫撃砲で発射することが可能でした（ただし、命中精度は大幅に低下します）
82mm迫撃砲は、当初長方形の台座を持つ「M1936」が使用されましたが、円形台座に変更した「M1937」に変更されます
その後、車輪を装備する「M1941」や「M1943」も生産される一方、継続して生産が行われ、戦後も共産圏で運用が続けられました
