日本のROCK史上に残る2大アルバム,『MOTHER』と『STYLE』を現代に再現するライヴ 「LUNA SEA DUAL ARENA TOUR 2023」を全国5都市各2Daysで開催することがすでに発表されているLUNA SEA。
この『MOTHER』と『STYLE』が11月29日に全曲フルリテイクのセルフカバーアルバムとして再びリリースされることが発表。
94年にリリースされた『MOTHER』には「ROSIER」や「TRUE BLUE」が、 96年にリリースされた『STYLE』には「DESIRE」や「IN SILENCE」などの大ヒット曲が数多く収録されており、 まさに90年代後期LUNA SEAが日本のロックシーンで不動の地位に駆け上がった時期に制作された珠玉の2作品である。
そして今回のセルフカバーを制作するにあたり、前作アルバム『CROSS』に続き、 グラミー賞6冠の世界的音楽プロデューサー「スティーヴ・リリーホワイト」をミックスエンジニアとして起用!!
約30年の時を越えて令和の時代に蘇る伝説の2大アルバムが、どのような音を宿し生まれ変わるのか、益々期待が膨らむばかりだ!!
