★相田みつを： 詩人・書家。1924年、栃木県足利市に生まれる。栃木県立足利中学校卒業後、歌人・山下陸奥に師事。1942年に曹洞宗高福寺の武井哲応老師と出会い、在家しながら仏法を学ぶ。1943年に書家である岩沢渓石に師事。「自分の言葉」「自分の書」を探究する中から独特のスタイルを確立し、多くの作品を残した。心に響く言葉で今なお多くの人々に感動を与え続けている。1991年、足利市内の病院で脳内出血により永眠（享年67）。
