日本名石.佐治川石.盆栽.盆石.水石.噴火 マグマ 灰地石、雲かけ石(石英質)糸かけ石、碧譚石.ジャグレ.虎石 150g観賞石 置物 天然石 盆石大正末期から昭和の初期に
鳥取市内の大邸宅や旅館の庭石として使用されるようになり
やがて京都に進出し、庭石や盆栽用の石として
世に知られるようになったそうです
昭和30年に、水石趣味家に広がると乱採が始まり
40年代前後には、探石銀座のような状態だったようです
佐治川本流での「全面採石禁止」の条例が出されています
現在でも佐治川での探石は、県の条例で禁止になっていて
千代川との合流点の用瀬(もちがせ)から千代川の下流全域にわたって
採取されたものが佐治川石として世に出ているといいます
佐治石と呼ばれる石にはいろいろなものがあるようで、地元の愛石家は
真黒石、灰地石、雲かけ石(石英質が雲のように入り込んでいるもの)
糸かけ石、碧譚石(へきたんせき・ジャグレをもつ青黒石)、虎石

旧佐治村の知り合いの造園業者の方から廃業のため,佐治川石を大量に譲っていただきました。
