ソロモンに散った聯合艦隊参謀 伝説の海軍軍人樋端久利雄 高嶋博視／著“昭和の秋山真之"“帝国海軍の至宝"と言われた伝説の海軍士官の生涯を描いた評伝。
讃岐(香川県)に生まれ、海兵、海大をともに首席で卒業した樋端久利雄(といばなくりお)は、軍令部参謀、聯合艦隊参謀、海軍省軍務局員など軍令、軍政の場で活躍。山本五十六長官が直接指揮した「い」号作戦では中心的役割を担った。昭和18年4月18日、山本長官の前線視察に同行、ソロモン諸島ブーゲンビル島上空で米軍機に撃墜され戦死。
これまでほとんど知られていなかった樋端久利雄の事蹟を長年にわたり調べ続けた元海将がまとめ上げた鎮魂の書が完成!
