Projectμ BRAKE PAD KNOW-HOW強烈な摩擦によって出たダストも確実に排除するブレーキパッドの摩擦材に含まれた物質が高温によって燃えた時にガスが発生し、パッドとローターとの隙間でブレーキの効きを妨げます。これをフェード現象と言います。ブレーキパッドのセンターに配置されたスリットが、ガスとパッドカスを効率良く排出させ、安定した制動力を維持します。
不快な鳴きを抑制するチャンファーカットパッドに角があると、制動時不快な音が発生してしまいます。それを防ぐために、角を削ぎ取り（端部チャンファーカット）不快なブレーキ鳴きを極力抑制しています。
余計な焼き入れは不要プロジェクト・ミューのブレーキパッドはあらかじめ熱処理加工を施してあり、製造時のみ必要となる、不要な素材をあらかじめ燃やし尽くすので、フェードの原因となるガスの発生を抑制します。購入後、ナラシをして頂くだけで、安心してお使い頂けます。
歪みを防止する、強固なバックプレートバックプレートに求められる性能は、ピストンの強力な圧力に負けず、歪まないという点です。歪んでしまうと摩材部分が剥がれ落ち、重大な事故を引き起こしかねません。通常、バックプレートにはスチールを使用しますが、プロジェクト・ミューでは、純正比20%の強度アップをさせたスチールプレートを使用し、十分な強度を確保しております。
