【ストーリー】
レイモンドは新聞の恋人募集欄“ロンリーハート・クラブ”に広告を出し、孤独な未亡人や未婚の中年女性を狙い、財産を騙し取る結婚詐欺師。
新たな獲物マーサが彼の窮地を救ったことがきっかけで二人は強い絆で結ばれ、マーサが犯罪に加担するようになる。
二人は、女性の財産だけでなく、命までも奪うという残虐な犯罪を繰り返すことによって、互いの愛を確認するようになる。異常な犯罪を繰り返す二人を、ロビンソン刑事が追いつめていくが…。
