韓国系アメリカ人のジンは、講演ツアー中に倒れた高名な建築学者の父を見舞うため、モダニズム建築の街として知られるコロンバスを訪れる。父の回復を待ちこの街に滞在することになったジンは、地元の図書館で働く建築に詳しい女性ケイシーに出会う。父親との確執から建築に対しても複雑な思いを抱えるジンはコロンバスに留まることを嫌がり、一方でケイシーは薬物依存症の母親の看病を理由にコロンバスに留まり続ける。どこまでも対称的な二人の運命がこの街で交錯し、たがいの共通項である建築を巡り、語ることで、それぞれの新しい人生に向かって歩き出す…。
