70-80年代ごろのデッドストック品。ゴーギャンがその晩年にサモア人女性群像というような作品をたくさん残すこととなった、サモア人女性の美しさを顕して余りある木彫作品です。サモア人文化というのはアメリカ本土でも古くからティキ像、ティキバーなど、エキゾチックなインテリア素材として人気がありますが、それはティキ像ばかりがサモア人文化ではなくて、かねてよりカナカ娘像も注目していただきたいと思っておりました。ティキ像などのようなくだけたシーンばかりではなく、フォーマルなインテリアにも映え、サイズ感もたっぷりというもので、サイズがそれぞれ410x190x115(mm)となっております。
