| 商品説明 | トーマス・マックナイトは米国カンザス州のローレンス市に生まれる。1966年～1968年まで朝鮮戦争で陸軍に従軍し、その後退役して「タイム」誌に勤める。1982年ホワイトハウスとスミソニアン博物館の「イースターエッグ」アーティストとして展覧会に参加する。1986年にはメトロポリタン美術館の永久保存作品の１点に加えられる等の輝かしい業績も収める。日本での活躍も多く、1994年には各地で来日展を開催し、大きな反響を得る。また1995年には神戸市復興のため、美しい神戸の街並みを描いて神戸市に寄贈するなどをしている。 |
