1944年3月4日、米オハイオ州クリーヴランド生まれのソウル・シンガー／ギタリスト。子供の頃からゴスペルを歌い、50年代から兄弟で結成した“ウーマック・ブラザーズ”で活躍。敬愛するサム・クックに認められて名門“Sir”にてレコーディングを開始したが、64年にサム・クックが凶弾に倒れたのを機にグループは解散。以後、ソロ・ミュージシャンとして活躍。常にディープ・ソウル節全開の歌唱から“ラスト・ソウルマン”と呼ばれ、多くのミュージシャンから尊敬を集める。またセッション・ギタリストとしてもさまざまなアーティストの作品に参加し、名演を残している。2014年6月27日死去。 海外発送もできます。
