アーティスト：奈良美智
1959年12月5日生まれの日本人アーティスト、奈良美智は、憂鬱な子供や動物の漫画的な絵画で知られる折衷的な作品で知られています。愛知県立芸術大学で美術学士号と修士号を取得した後、1980年代後半にデュッセルドルフ美術アカデミーに留学し、生涯を通じて東洋と西洋の文化からインスピレーションを得ました。奈良美智の子供時代は、漫画、ディズニーアニメーション、ポップミュージックなどの西洋のポップカルチャーに触れる人が増えた戦後の日本の時代であり、奈良の作品に初期の影響を与えたとよく言われます。彼は常に日本のマンガから描いたものではないと述べてきましたが、彼の独特の大きな目の肖像画は、しばしば美術評論家に2つの間に類似点を描くように促しました。代わりに、彼は、無実の子供たちを冷笑的な表現や相容れないもの（鋭いナイフなど）と組み合わせることで、宗教や哲学の重要な問題を反映して、彼の作品を別の精神的なレベルに引き上げると主張しています。
