酸化焼成は専用の窯を使用します。
ブラウンとは？
三河焼のブラウンは【白土生地】と【赤土生地】の２種類あります。
ハーブのかおり ブラウンは【白土生地】です。
白土から生地を作り、生地に直接、茶色の化粧土を着色した後、
高温酸化焼成した商品です。白土と赤土の性能差は、ほぼ同等です。
三河焼、高温酸化焼成（赤焼、白焼＝ブラウン）の焼成温度は1100℃位です。
素焼鉢（通常酸化焼成）や多くの輸入鉢は900℃前後です。
200℃温度が高いと土の締まりが、
素焼と比べると強くなり丈夫になります。
(素焼鉢は焼きあがった後も土と土の間に
空気や水を通す目に見えない微細な隙間が有る。
赤焼、白焼は、この隙間が焼き締まって
小さくなり硬く丈夫になります）。
赤焼、白焼にも通気性、排水性は有ります。
たかが200℃の違いですが、
燃料が白焼鉢は素焼鉢の約２倍必要となり、
焼成時間（素焼、いぶし 約２４時間、赤焼、白焼 約３０時間）
も余分にかかります。
