1976 年の 11 月 21 日に結成、翌 12 月 14 日に The Roxy で Live デビューを果たす御存知 Generation X が Chrysalis Records との契約以前に録音したデモ音源 2 曲を自主制作で 7" 化しスリーブ無しの白レーベルでリリースした激入手困難なリアル 1st 7" の非公式再発盤。高額取引されているオリジナル盤はジャケなしですが、こちらのコレクターズ盤は Chrysalis から登場のレアなドイツ盤模倣スリーブ仕様。限定 100 枚プレスのカラー盤となります。
結成時のドラマーである John Towe (Alternative TV, The Adverts, Physicals, UK Subs, Shooter など) 在籍時の貴重音源としても知られる本作は、後に Chrysalis Records と契約を果たし公式デビュー 7" としてリリースされるバンド屈指の大名曲 Your Generation と 1st アルバム収録の名曲 Listen の極初期デモ "Raw" ver. を収録し 77 年の 8 月に自主制作で極少プレス、初期のライブでのみ販売されていたとされる伝説の 1 枚にして近年は $200 前後で取り引きされる超入手困難盤!!! 公式リリースされた後の ver. では伺い知れない初期衝動を爆発させた最初期の熱気が真空パックされた問答無用の名演です!!! 今回は非公式の後の U.K. 盤とはデザイン違いで人気高い ’77 German Press Sleeve バージョンで若干デザインを変え (裏面は Day By Day では無く Listen になっております。) 「Punk」のステッカー付きでのスペシャルな仕様、非公式のファンクラブリリースによる Ltd.100 枚 Green Vinyl プレス。
