☆1989. 10. 20～11. 1 ニュー ヨークにおける録音。(P) トーマス・フロスト、(E) トム・ラザラス。
－ホロヴィッツ最後の録音。彼は1989年11月5日に亡くなりましたが、まさしくその直前、ニュー ヨークの自宅で演奏されたものです。まさに「白鳥の歌」ですが、当時86歳であったにもかかわらず、気力はまったく衰えていません。ミスタッチはあるものの テクニックも充分。演奏自体も惚れ惚れさせられます。気負いなく飄々として しゃれたフレージング。そしてそっとした情感に溢れています。
