白根市と味方村の間に流れる中ノ口川の両岸から大凧を揚げて、空中でからませて川に落とし、相手の凧綱が切れるまで引き合う豪快な凧合戦
縦7m横5m(24畳)重さ50kgの大きさの大凧が約300枚、その他に畳5畳大の巻凧(六角凧)約1、200枚が大空を乱舞
