『ビョーク：コーニュコピア』は、アイスランドの伝説的アーティスト、ビョークによる５年にわたるコーニュコピア・ツアーのうち、2023年にリスボンのアルティス・アリーナで行われたパフォーマンスを撮影したもので、監督はイーソルド・ウッガドッティルが務めた。没入感のあるライブ映像によりビョークのアルバム『フォソーラ』（2022年）、『ユートピア』（2017年）、『ヴァルニキュラ』（2015年）の楽曲が、こだわりのステージデザインとマルチメディア要素で表現されています。すべての歌詞の字幕は、ビョーク自身の手書きによる英語でスクリーンに表示されます。ビョーク史上最も壮大なライブパフォーマンス「コーニュコピア」は、先鋭的なビジュアルと没入感のあるサウンドで広く称賛を浴びました。映画版の本作では、21世紀のVR映像を19世紀の劇場空間へと変貌させる驚異の演出を、見事に映像作品として記録しています。ヘッドセットからステージ、そして映画館へと、エンターテイメント体験は進化し、音楽的革新・環境活動・感情表現を融合させるビョークが生み出した世界がスクリーンに描かれます。彼女が発信するメッセージは、ステージ上で表現されるアニメータらの映像と融合し、ビョークならではの最高の芸術をスクリーンを通して全身で味わう体験できます。また、環境危機に対する彼女の哲学にも触れ、ビョークは本作で終末後の希望に満ちた未来像を提示しています。オーストラリア、ブラジル、カナダ、デンマーク、フランス、ドイツ、スペイン、スウェーデン、アメリカ、イギリス、そして日本など、25カ国以上、約500館の映画館で限定上映されます。日本は5/7(水)からTOHOシネマズ 日比谷ほかで公開します。
