1933年昭和08年 有馬本家当主有馬頼寧の従兄弟にあたる分家有馬正頼男爵の次男として東京で生を受ける
1941年昭和16年 8歳の時、大分県日田市の岳林寺で得度
1955年昭和30年 22歳 京都臨済宗相国寺僧堂に入門。大津櫪堂老師に師事
1968年昭和43年 相国寺塔頭大光明寺住職
1971年昭和46年 相国寺派教学部長
1984年昭和59年 相国寺承天閣美術館設立により事務局長
1988年昭和63年 京都仏教会理事長に就任
1995年平成07年 臨済宗相国寺派七代管長（相国寺132世）に就任
