【CD１枚】 輸入盤8570461 廉価盤の大将ナクソスには少々実力のあり過ぎるぐらいの彼のアイアランド全集も、近日出たピアノ協奏曲の余白録音で完成。長い沈黙ののちに出たこの第三集は、待ちくたびれたファンを大歓喜させた一枚です。アイアランドのピアノ曲は特に人気の高い分野。「緑の道」「春が待てない」「アーモンドの樹」と題名を見るだけで音楽史的な立ち位置も一目瞭然。実に穏健な和声と美しくメロディアスな楽曲に、程よく力の抜けたレナハンの演奏はピッタリ。繊細かつ朴訥平明、それでいて芯のしっかり立った語り口が素晴らしいです。一方で脂の乗り切った四十代に書かれたソナタではシリアスな表情もしっかりと伺わせ、彼のピアノ作品の諸相をしっかり切り出す良選曲。イングランドの詩人A・E・ハウスマンやシェイクスピアの詩句にインスピレーションを得た「緑の道」や、「ロンドンの夜のバラード」にはかつてのドビュッシアンとしての面影も。たとえクラシック音楽に興味がなくとも、イージー・リスニングとしても聴けてしまうだけの懐の深さ、平易さをしっかりと持ち合わせている。それでいて高品位。演奏、曲目ともに間違いなくナクソスのピアノ・ソロではトップクラス。お勧めです。中古ですので小さな汚れあります。まとめて買えばお安くなります。Similar Category Items
