長崎・平戸のオランダ商館長、台湾長官、フランスの東インド会社主席理事なども務めた著者の自叙伝。本書は後に平凡社の東洋文庫双書に収録されたと思います。そのオリジナル版。Ａ５判３６３ページ。東洋堂刊。経年なりの疲労感がありますが、損傷、書込み、折れ曲げなどは見落としがなければありません。また敗戦直後の出版事情から使用された紙質も良好とはいえませんが、当時としては少部数の出版として刊行された貴重書として出品いたします。
