申年の干支蓋置の作品です。
裏千家今日庵出入方の職人さんである八代吉向十三軒の作品です。
甲申である2004年に造られた作品で、猿の顔にわかりやすく申と書かれ、背中の模様に甲と書かれています。
箱の墨書にも、蓋にのみ甲申と書かれています。
甲申は60年に一度しかありませんので、他の申年にも使っていただきたいです。
取り合わせや申年の方にいかがでしょうか。
