【安くて丈夫な植木鉢】というのが日本製三河焼シリーズの最大の特徴のひとつです。
さらに、この植木鉢は全自動成型機械を使って製造しています。
【安い】の理由は機械での大量生産。
【丈夫】の理由は焼成温度の違いに有ります。
通常三河焼（赤焼、白焼系）の焼成温度は1100℃位です。
素焼鉢や多くの輸入鉢は900℃前後です。
200℃温度が高いと土の締まりが、素焼と比べると強くなり丈夫になります。
(素焼鉢は焼きあがった後も土と土の間に空気や水を通す目に見えない微細な隙間が有る。
赤焼は、この隙間が焼き締まって無くなり硬く丈夫になります）。
たかが200℃の違いですが、燃料が赤焼鉢は素焼鉢の約２倍必要となり焼成時間も余分にかかります。
