低電圧のコンシュマー用アプリケーション向けに設計されている定番のパワーアンプ。
利得は20倍で固定、外付部品は殆どありませんが、ピン1とピン8の間で外部抵抗やコンデンサを追加すると、20倍から200倍まで利得を増加できます。
入力はグラウンド基準の入力、出力は電源電圧の1/2に自動的にバイアス。
無信号時の消費電力は、6V電源動作で24mWと低く、バッテリオペレーションに最適。
