無骨で泥臭いと言ってしまえばそれまでだが，貴重な存在。今どきのR&Bシーンでバンドを貫き通しているのは彼らぐらいだろう。悪く言えば音楽バカってことかもしれないが，とことん音に魂を込めるひたむきさが僕はたまらなく好きだ。
のっけから余韻を強調したドラムに，大げさなまでに劇的なメロディーの情熱的なファンク「Can’t Get Away」。いかにもミントコンディションらしい。シタールなども交え，甘美で白昼夢のような幻想的なサウンドに仕上げた「Walk On」，アコースティックな「Caught My Eye」とバラードもいい。
イチ押しは「Mind Slicker」。クールなハープをループさせたシンプルなヴァースから徐々に盛り上がり，クライマックスに近付くにつれて分厚いサウンド＆コーラスが怒涛のごとく押し寄せてくる。双璧はケリー・プライスとストークリーがデュエットする「Not My Daddy」か。こちらは摩天楼の夜景を思わせる優雅なメロディーでゆったりとスウィングするバラードで，終盤のシャウト合戦は鳥肌ものの絶品。
ジャズ・ヒップホップ感覚のクールな「7」もカッコいい。
