－[1]は1950. 6 ラジオ ジュネーヴ スタジオという説あり。最後のブザンソン・ライヴは第2番が弾かれませんでしたが このセッション録音は14曲あり、曲順は4～6, 9, 7, 11, 10, 14, 3, 8, 12, 13, 1, 2番というリパッティ独自の配列によっています。なお音楽評論家 竹内貴久雄のサイトには [1]の録音年の混乱について、その原因についての興味深い考察が掲載されています。－[1]は今なお愛され続ける もはや多言要せずという感じの “名盤” ですが、ひととび聞けば とりこになってしまいます。コロコロとよく回る指による冴えたテクニック。重くならず、粘らず、洒落たセンスは清水の清冽さ、宝石のきらめき。キリリとしたリズムの一方で聞かせる ナイーヴなロマンティシズム。この曲集には魅力的な演奏がいくつもありますが、やはりリパッティが最高。音の古さを超えて 訴えかけてきます。
