録音：1975年8月8日＆1976年8月9日。以上ザルツブルグ。
元々ギレリスのライヴはかなり貴重であるが、これだけまとまってベートーヴェンのソナタというのは大変珍しいです。面白いのは、
ベートーヴェンとブラームスに関しては、ＤＧへの録音が其々このライヴの前年に行われている（つまり’７４年と1975年）ということ。
スタジオ録音後、ギレリスのライヴがどうであったかを知る事の出来るなかなか重要な音源です。音質はまずまず良好です。
