商品解説■──待望のフライホイール動力化！相模鉄道 新6000系
【実車紹介】
新6000系はそれまでの6000系をモデルチェンジして1970年に登場しました。
車体幅は2930mmで当時の国内狭軌車両としては最大幅でした。
登場時は非冷房で製造されましたが、1971年製造の6711編成に試験的に冷房を搭載し、1972年以降の製造分より全車冷房付きで製造されています。
非冷房車の冷房改造は1977年から1979年にかけて実施されました。
登場時は窓周りにグレー、幕板、腰板がダークグリーンに赤帯が入った塗装でしたが、1973年の「相鉄ジョイナス」オープンに合わせ塗装を変更することになり、イエロー系とグリーン系の試験塗装車が登場、比較の結果グリーン系が採用されました。
2002年には創立85周年を記念して1編成を登場時の塗装に復刻し話題となりました。
後継車両の登場で数を減らし、2003年8月をもって定期運用を終了、同年11月にさよなら運転を行い引退しました。

A8604(2005年4月出荷)を基にして、動力をフライホイール化、台車をA9757、相鉄7000系で使用したものに変更しグレードアップ
今回生産にあたり、色味、各種表記を見直し
さよなら運転で使用したヘッドマークをシールに収録
※部品共用のため、床下機器など一部実車と異なります
※中間に入る先頭車(6535・6712)のヘッドライト・テールライトは点灯しません
