EMADはEVANS独自のサウンド・コントロールシステムで、バスドラムヘッドを取り外すことなく交換可能な、幅の違う2種類のウレタン製ミュートリング(ダンピングリング)が付属しており、好みのミュートの度合いに合わせ簡単に脱着できます。 10mil、1プライのフィルムで、オープンなサウンドから、タイトなアタック、ローエンドを効かせたファットサウンドまで、2種類の脱着式ダンピングリングの使用により1枚のバスドラムヘッドで様々な音作りが可能です。コーテッドヘッドは、トーンの暖かさと深みが増しています。 GMADは12mil、1プライのフィルムで、オリジナルのEMADにパンチとローエンドを追加し、よりパワフルなサウンドが得られます。耐久性も20％アップしています。 EMAD2は更にアタックと耐久性を増強するために、外側7mil、内側10mil、2プライのフィルムを使用しています。
