グミ科グミ属
落葉または常緑低木
別名：カワラグミ、フユグミ、グミ、ヤマグミ
【商品情報】
グミは若い枝や葉に特徴的な毛が密生しています。実は赤く熟して食用になります。丈夫で育てやすく、栽培にはそれほど手が掛かりません。葉の緑と実の赤色のコントラストはとても綺麗です。多くの品種があります。アキグミ、ナツグミ、ナワシログミ、トウグミなどの品種があります。落葉性の物と常緑性のものがあります。品種により実がなる時期も様々です。
【育て方】
剛健な品種ですので育てやすいです。土壌は選びません。一般的に萌芽力が強く刈り込みにも耐えます。剪定は2～3月か6～7月に行います。肥料は2～3月か7月ごろ与えます。
