商品解説■──池袋線～地下鉄線に直通運転を行う6000系アルミ車。戸袋窓が残った車体を新規金型で再現
西武6000系は1992年に登場した西武池袋線と東京メトロ有楽町線との相互直通運転用の車両です。
西武鉄道唯一のステンレス製車体を採用し、初めての10両固定編成車両として登場しました。
くの字に曲がった先頭形状に地下鉄対応の非常用貫通路の設置など、それまでの西武電車にはないスタイルが特徴です。
1996年以降製造された6151編成からは車体構造がアルミ製となり、更に1997年以降の6156編成～6158編成は戸袋窓の廃止など、製造時期によって差異がみられます。
2014年からは走行機器の更新工事が行なわれ、2019年までには全編成へ施されました。
