明治150年の今年、2018年1月1日に神戸港は開港150年を迎えた。
海洋立国の日本にとって「港」は交通・物流の基点であると同時に、
都市開発、権力闘争の舞台でもあった。

「みなと」の「み」は「水」、「な」は「~の」、「と」は「門」の意味。
だから『古事記』も『日本書紀』も「みなと」を「水門」と表記した。
水門には船が碇泊する。四方を海に囲まれる日本列島にとって、
